Using fabric left over after cutting a doll dress out I am making some little ditty bags for Easter. The doll dress has been a bit of a challenge. I drew my own pattern on news paper & cut it out. Now I am working on getting the it right.

It has been very cold here with snow fall & rain fall. Lots of wind blowing. After about 6 inches of water & slush in the homestead garden we now have a ice patch. To bad I have no ice skates. It has been quite a challenge getting out. The road was covered with snow & now such a thick sheet of ice. We have never had school bus service here. For 15 years I have driven my kids to a near by bus stop. This is getting old. Six more years to go until the youngest is finished with school. So were out & about early each day to catch the school bus. More trips in & out to take my daughter to work & pick her up. A Mothers work is never done.

Oh dont forget to sign up for my giveaway. The post to enter is a few posts back on this blog. I see I have gained 5 new followers. Welcome to you all.

Blessings Til Next Time!
Lara

  1. You're an adventurous one, making your own pattern. You'll have to share it when it's finished.
I can't imagine having to take your kids to school. Even when we lived in the country, there was a bus that took them back and forth. But I guess with the budgeting for education being what it is, I'd rather they cut buses than say sports or band. But our schools have been closed all week because of the blizzard.
I hope you at least get to enjoy the extra time together. :)

  2. That is a sweet little bag. Love the fabric and stitching.:)

Thank heavens we haven't had much ice this year. It makes traveling very nerve racking for me. Spring is right around the corner! Right?? ;) Safe travels!

  3. That is a great job. There is always something good with snowed in days. You get lots done. I can't imagine having to transport my kid to a bus stop. YUCK. We homeschooled so didn't need a bus at all but I can just imagine.

  5. Cute bags! We have lots of ice here too! I was just thinking how handy a pair of skates would be right now when I was trying to maneuver through my driveway on foot yesterday!
